How did I get into videography? I’m so glad you asked.
I made a gamble… and failed. Big time.
At the end 2020 I found myself moving for the third time that year, crushed by the loss of a business venture and thousands of dollars in debt. As I was attempting to put the pieces of my life together again, a mentor shared with me about how his biggest failures turned into his most valuable life-lessons. Because of my failed business, I realized that I now had what it takes to go out on a limb and take risks. I wanted to be a person who learned from his mistakes, not someone who allowed mistakes to define my self-worth.
What you can expect from me
So I bought a camera on credit.
And a lens, and a gaming PC, and a domain name, and registered an LLC with the state of Colorado and… you get the picture. As I worked two part-time jobs to pay the bills, I watched YouTube tutorials, practiced, and took every gig that I felt unqualified for. I made some pretty embarrassingly bad videos, but I learned. And here I am five years later. Whether or not you like my cinematic style, I hope my story encourages you in some way today. Don’t shy away from dreams that seem too risky. They just might hold the keys to finding your true self.
